Dr. Andreasen’s interest in plastic surgery developed when he was a successful Golden Glove boxer. At that time, Dr. Andreasen became acquainted with a plastic surgeon who was also involved with the sport, and through this association, his attention turned toward the broad field of plastic surgery. Dr. Andreasen’s fascination soon blossomed, and he went on to study this concentration for the next several years.
After two years of religious missionary service, tummy tuck surgeon Dr. Andreasen completed medical school at the University of Utah. While in medical school, under the direction of the renowned hand surgeon, Graham Lister, he developed advanced microsurgical skills. Dr. Andreasen was awarded the highest achievement award from his alma mater, as his efforts in microsurgical research helped to define the effect that trauma had on microcirculation. He graduated at the top of his medical school class.
After that, Dr. Andreasen was selected as one of the first medical school graduates in the United States to train in an integrated General Surgery/Plastic Surgery program that had a focus on cosmetic surgery. Excelling in all areas of his training, Dr. Andreasen established himself as one of the premier plastic surgical trainees at Loma Linda University. Cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as reconstructive surgery of the breast, were some of his specific interests.
Dr. Andreasen has been actively involved in missionary service since he was 19 years old, and at Loma Linda, he captained the Loma Linda Good Samaritan Plastic Surgery efforts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Twice a year, they offered reconstructive surgery services to impoverished children who typically did not have access to these procedures. Some of the valuable components of the missionary endeavor were Dr. Andreasen’s training in cleft lip and palate repair as well as his experience in burn surgery.
Now, continuing to pursue excellence in his private practice, Dr. Andreasen treats every tummy tuck patient on an individual basis. He provides complete surgical care, from the initial consultation through recovery. Dr. Andreasen also emphasizes safety, as he performs his cosmetic and reconstructive procedures at several hospitals and surgery centers in Riverside and throughout the Inland Empire.
